About Us
Since the early 1980s, there has been an interest in organizing a science museum in Bowling Green to enhance the educational opportunities in the Barren River Area Development District (BRADD). BRIMS is a non profit organization, created to provide attractive, accessible, entertaining and educational experiences in the sciences and technology. A board of directors was established with the museum's inception in 1994. However, the current board of directors seek to continue the tradition set forth over the past decade.
The museum is overseen by Chuck Phillips. Phillips, a retired science teacher from Bowling Green High School, runs the day to day activities of the museum. In the role of BRIMS Director, Phillips, provides tours of the museum during the week to school groups and other visitors. His background in science makes him a wonderful science resource.
